While we wait, let's talk cameras

Yes, I could make do with my Sony Cybershot T20. It's small, it takes good photos, especially of people, and it's the size of a deck of cards. But while the little T20 will definitely be coming with me, the feeling that it's a tad under par for the great glaciers of Patagonia is quite overwhelming. An SLR camera, though, is out of the question because it's like carrying a small child who you have no idea how to control.

One of the great things about living in Hong Kong is that everyone is an expert in cameras, and so I've been told the Panasonic Lumix GF2 is the one to get. It'll take great photos, no doubt, but if you want both lenses, it's a gulp pricewise, and let's be honest, it's not much of a looker, is it? Let's wait and see.
